What you’ll do
TV as a service is changing rapidly and streaming and other services integrate more and more with each other. People have different ways of consuming TV today and that is a challenge that Telenor will embrace. Telenor will take next step in the future services in the TV area and need new engineers that can strengthen the TV-services team. Your contact areas within Telenor are many, such as Consumer, Networks and IT Tribes. Your role is to define and communicate requirements as well as technical possibilities and limitations.

Examples of your responsibilities
* Act as subject matter expert in development projects that involve the TV platforms or service
* Be the expert in how to develop and integrate legacy services with other systems
* Contribute as a member of the DEVOPS group TV-services in the Networks department
* Participate in RFQ processes and provide technical recommendations and vendor selection support
* Supervise that the TV platforms and integration is according to IT security internal regulations
* Develop the security and testing of the streaming apps in cooperation with partners

Who are you
You are used to acting on your own initiative, making things happen and taking responsibility for the outcome. You are a team player who works effectively with others, who shares knowledge and information and supports others in the pursuit of common goals. Your ability to quickly analyze complex questions and problems is very good. Furthermore, you are interested in continuously developing in the expert role. You have ability to present new and inventive ideas and solutions, and you can respectfully challenge traditional approaches. Finally, you are a very good communicator who communicates clearly verbally as well as in writing, creating reports and documentation. You have a Master/Bachelor of Science in Telecom or IT, or equivalent work experience and are fluent in Swedish and English (both written and verbal

We’re looking for candidates which have more or less competence/experience in the following:
* Linux operating system administration and architecture
* Architecture and developing against TV DRM systems
* Terminal OS like Android, IOS and TVOS
* Tools used in the app's life cycle - such as the Google Play Store, iTunes AppStore, Testflight, Crashlytics and like.
* API- technologies like JSON, XML, REST and such
* Micro services in docker and such
* Metadata processing and systems
* Streaming platform design and function
* Subsystems like Elastic suite, Splunk
