Web Developer

We are a company where the interest and curiosity for computer technology and programming has a central role. Avidity does development primarily for the Internet. Currently we work a lot with frameworks based on Ruby, like Rails and Sinatra, but we do not shy away from using other technologies. The last example of this is a project for order management implemented in Python and Django. We are collaborative, technical and fun. We have offices in Sweden and Brazil.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
* Programming
* Assist in gathering requirements and project specifications * Communicate project status and deliverables with managers and clients
* Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication
* other tasks as needed for successful project completion
* Experience in planning and delivering software platforms
* Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages
* The position requires constant communication with colleagues

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
* Written and spoken English
* Professional experience of a dynamic, object oriented language, preferably Ruby or Python
* Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
* Professional experience of programming for web browsers
* A genuine interest of the intricacies of client side web development
* Understanding of how the web, the HTTP protocol and a web servers in general works
* Understanding of an agile development methodology, such as XP or Scrum
