Full-Stack Developer position

We’re now looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join our studio in Gothenburg, to be part of our multidisciplinary teams creating digital products for our clients and create significant change together with us!

Our main operation is based in Gothenburg with main office at Lindholmen. We have offices in Stockholm and Palo Alto and work wherever needed. We are today 65 people and constantly growing.

Job Description

As Full-Stack Developer at Berge you will take on different projects in our studio, solve problems and develop products and services in close collaborations with designers and artist. You will always face new type of projects and team constellations and that’s why it’s important you are confident in applying your skill in both front and back-end development, from website front-end to database back-end setups and the connection between them.

About you

You’re a forward thinking and curious developer that have worked in projects deploying products and services to users. You’re confident in taking roles in both front and back-end, and in fields where your not, you naturally develop yourself, learn and deploy your new knowledge.

General knowledge

- Database design and structure
- Git version handling
- System architecture and best practices
- API implementation and usage
- Mobile development (Andriod, iOS)

Front-end

- HTML and frameworks like bootstrap
- CSS and maybe even style sheet languages like SaSS
- JavaScript and JSON
- Front-End frameworks like React and Angular
- Mobile Development with React Native or similar

Back-end

- Server Side language like Node.js and Python
- Back-End frameworks like Node.js-Express and Python-Django
- Setup and manage databases like MySQL, mongoDB,
- Setup and manage cloud platforms like Firebase, AWS
- DevOps and deployment - iOS/Android, Heroku, Docker

Additional information

Berge is based in Gothenburg but we have our clients all over Sweden (and the world). Projects may sometimes require some travelling or temporary allocation to another city.

Job Description

Organizations are in a big change towards working in agile teams, creating customer value by working in cross functional teams designing and developing solutions. We need to power teams with Scrum Masters that want to be a part this journey - with the mission to develop the best possible scrum teams that can scale in large organization.

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to help a customer’s team to become productive and successful. We want you to guide, coach and bully the team into applying the agile mindset, create & follow their own plan and become a star team.

The role

As the Scrum Master it will be your task to coach the team and the Product Owner in their daily work, you will guide the team in the use of agile methods and way of working, ensuring transparency, self-organization and reliability, and it will be you who ensures that the team creates and follows plans.

It will be your job to make sure that impediments are removed, primarily by guiding the team members, but as a last resort remove them yourself. You will also be responsible for creating and updating any metrics the team needs for their decision-making process, and you will facilitate the Scrum ceremonies.

As a central role in the team, it will be you who make sure the team evolves and grows, by encouraging a feedback culture, resolving conflicts and creating a sense of “we”.

Competencies

We are looking for someone who has worked as a Scrum Master for a few years and have experience with some or all of the following:

- Scrum (preferably in SAFe setup)
- Coaching
- Facilitation
- Team building/feedback culture
- Implementing Scrum from scratch

Professional Qualifications

- Good understanding of software development
- Experience as Scrum Master or working with agile methods
- Agile knowledge and experience
- Fluent in English, oral and written

Personal Qualifications

- Self-motivated with a proven ability to challenge, take initiatives and a drive
- Genuine interest in team dynamics and agile development
- Structured with great communication skills
- Proven ability of building long term relationships with colleagues
- Collaborative and communicative
- Holistic mind-set.
