The position

As a Senior Developer, you will join Viaplay with the mission to further develop and maintain our mobile apps, keep them best-in-class and the main entry point to Viaplay. Our teams work cross-functionally so you will have a close collaboration with UX, Design and QA, but also with other teams such as front end, back end and the product managers. You will work within an expanding organisation that strives for excellence by taking responsibility and pitching in where needed as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team. Our technical teams are prestigeless, problem solving-oriented and flexible. We take pride in being an inventive company and use bleeding edge technology where test driven development and continuous deployments are central in the deployment process. The challenge ahead

Your everyday work will consist of running development activities including design, complexity assessment, development, test and deployment. You will develop engineering solutions aligned with technical- and product long-term visions.
- Development in short delivery cycles, enabling you to quickly see the results
- Work in a cross-functional team on the architecture and technology of our apps
- Data-driven product iterations, based on consumer feedback and behaviour
- Collaboration with other teams in a fast-paced and agile development process

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Developer with an genuine interest in software development and an ambition to constantly improve your skills. You like to be part of a team that makes things happen in a brilliant manner. You feel comfortable in taking a senior role in mentoring your colleagues and in leading different projects. If you also have an interest in multiple programming languages or new technologies out of your resumé, you will fit right in!

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:
- Solid experience from solving complex problems on the Android platform.
- Fluency in Java and the Android SDK
- Solid experience from solving complex problems in an iOS environment
- Professional experience coding in Swift
- Professional experience developing web based services using Node.js or any other Javascript based framework.
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent level of work experience
- At least 10+ years of professional work life experience
