The role

We are looking for a developer to join our Web Team! It is a multidisciplinary team that includes developers, designers, content creators and a product owner. In this role you will be able to contribute to the team by solving problems with code. This means that you will have plenty of time and space (also the best gear) to just put your headphones on and hack away, because that is what we all love. On top of that, here at Natural Cycles, you will have the opportunity to contribute by participating in discussions during the design of features and prioritization of the roadmap for the product and the technical backlog. We expect you to share your opinion and speak up during planning or retrospectives. We believe that we can only get better if we all participate.

The team

The team’s focus is on the company’s web presence but we don't churn out web agency work, we follow the best practices according to modern software development. Quality, security and reliability is of utmost importance. We pick the right tool for the job and we give ownership and responsibility to new joiners, expect daily code reviews in which you can share your knowledge and learn from others. Your code will ship as soon as the sprint is over and it will reach users all around the world in a matter of seconds.

The main products owned by the Web Team are the Consumer and Healthcare Professionals sites. They each target our two key audiences, making them the first touchpoint with users and a source of information for doctors and nurses. Both sites are also available in multiple languages and the content is tailored according to our communication guidelines for specific markets.

There are many stakeholders when it comes to our web presence. Our sites are not only conversion funnels, they are also educational hubs that help educate our audiences about women’s reproductive health and help spread the word of what we do here at Natural Cycles.

What you will be doing

Ensuring the highest quality, performance and security of the web products.
Ensuring continuous delivery of new releases while remaining Agile.
Helping us keep a healthy and consistent codebase with minimized technical debt and flexibility to expand.
Helping us keep a healthy coverage of automated end-to-end tests.

What skills and experience you should have

You should be familiar with using the following technologies:

JavaScript, JSON, HTML5 and CSS3.

Experience with any of the following tools / approaches would be beneficial, but not essential:

Modern JavaScript Frameworks (i.e: react, angular, vue)
TypeScript
NodeJS
PHP/Wordpress
