Assistant Print Designer

Thanks to this fast and solid growth, with a turnover target of 1 billion SEK in 2019, Happy Socks now requires a talented Assistant Print Designer to join its Design team. You will work with 120 driven and multicultural characters at our HQ in Stockholm, Sweden.

We are looking for a special someone who's in the start of their career and wants a hands on experience. As our Assistant Print Designer, you will support our Print Designers in their daily work and in developing/complete print designs for Happy Socks Collections. The work involves the entire product portfolio including both socks, underwear & swimwear.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Processing artwork assets under the guidance of the Designers and Product Developers
- Support and interact with the designers to help fulfill the company’s creative needs and deliverables
- Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner, following schedules and ensuring deadlines are met
- Develop and gain an understanding of Happy Socks design process and contribute creatively as part of the team

Requirements and Skills
- A relevant design education in fashion, textile or graphics of minimum 3 years
- Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- 0-2 years of experience
- Knowledge in creating both repeated and placed prints is a plus
- Fluency in English, any other language is a plus
- Experience in textile print techniques as well as knowledge of textile processes and materials is a plus

Pro-active in approach, highly organized and with a genuine understanding of our brand and product, this role is very ‘hands-on’ and often busy, therefore you need to be able to work quick and flexible in a deadline driven environment.
