IT-specialist Life 400

Länsförsäkringar AB is looking for an IT-specialist supporting IT for our Life & Pensions business and specifically the Life400 system. If you like working in the border between IT and business and also have a documented technical experience this is the position for you.

Application development, maintenance and IT operations are outsourced. The IT unit is responsible for steering of multiple vendors but also coordinating the full IT delivery. Maintenance work is governed and targets are set through yearly maintenance plans.

About the position
We are looking for an IT-specialist supporting IT for our Life & Pensions business and specifically the Life400 system. The technical platform is based on IBM AS/400 and you will act as the expert for maintaining and further development of the application as well as the technical environment.

As an IT-specialist you need very good knowledge about the technical setup of the application including integrations and data flows. Your main tasks will be:

• Ensuring that the application fulfills specified requirements
• Ensuring that the application is developed in line with our reference architecture and our security guidelines
• Managing vendors through e.g. verification of cost estimates and design proposals for ordered changes
• Supporting tests through analyzing errors and failing applications or environments
• Supporting in incident- and problem management
• Continuously work with proactive improvement work both in way of working and application performance, stability and maintainability
You will work in close cooperation with colleagues from IT maintenance, projects, the Life & Pensions business and external vendors.

Education and experience
You are an experienced IT-specialist with a background as a developer and system designer on the AS/400 platform with programming languages such as SMART/400, RPG/400, COBOL/400. You are familiar with technical design, code reviews and supporting developers. Furthermore you have good knowledge about requirement- and test management.

You have work experience from the insurance sector and the Life & Pensions business. You have an academic education within IT or engineering.
