Who we are

The CNA sector within the PDU BI is developing and bringing world-leading 5G RAN and Multistandard RBS functionality to the market, based on technology leadership of Ericsson RAN solutions. PDU BI CNA is responsible for the CAT module which covers the RAN independent functionality above platform level in the multistandard RBS. This includes SW that handles the resource layer of hardware management, sector and carrier group handling, synchronization, interconnect, antenna system control, external alarms, climate and power supply.

Job Summary:

As SW Architect, you will work at the unit Technology Management. This unit is technical responsible for architecture evolution of the functionalities currently residing in CAT module. The Technology Management unit acts both within the sector by driving architectural work and ouside the sector in early studies driving architecture in feature development.

For this role as SW Architect you will be involved in both areas, but we are looking for a person primarily focusing on participation in early studies. You will participate in both early phases of feature development and in conceptual studies. Your role is to add domain knowledge of the CAT functionality and how it is implemented, and insight in the system design impacts SW implementation.

You will work in together with skilled persons in an environment with high possibilitiy for you to grow within the SW discipline.

Required skills:

You have good knowledge in SW architecture in programming languages and paradigms such as C++ and Java
You have good domain competence within RBS functionality
You can move between high level strategies and low-level code implementation
You can act as an informal technical leader
You are good at networking
You are confident in taking responsibility for your tasks and act independently
