What you will be a part of
Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.
The Runtime platform group within Signal and data processing is now looking for experienced developers to join our team of engineers who share a common interest in developing world class ground-based and naval radar systems.
As a runtime platform developer you will play a central part in integrating hardware and software and everything in between into our complex systems that give users enough time to react and act!
Our product range is a complex and challenging mix of cutting-edge applications never used in this type of systems before and applications proven in battle for many years. We develop our own applications in-house and we use what’s developed by others and already out there, usually with some tweaks and adaptations. Making them work together is what makes this job so interesting. You get the opportunity to follow our products through the entire development cycle, from the early stages where customer needs are captured and the system architecture is defined, right through to the deployment of the systems in their real environment.
Your everyday workplace will range from a desk at our awesome office in Kallebäck at the top of Gothenburg, to system development and integration labs, to radar shelters where our systems are finally deployed and used. You constantly interact with teams and products from all disciplines within the company, because it is in the runtime platforms where it all comes together!

Your role

Your skills and experience
To manage the role in the best way, you need to have a deep understanding of system design in Linux and Windows environments. You enjoy being part of a cross-functional Scrum team and working towards common goals. You care about quality and you know what it means to deliver high quality products. We see that you have a genuine interest in computers and problem solving using smart software solutions, and if you are not afraid of hardware this job will fit you like a glove!
You need good communicative skills in both Swedish and English to be able to share your knowledge with others. 
We also want you to have competence and experience within the majority of the following areas:

Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Bourne shell, Python)
Programming (Java, C++, C)
Computer architecture
Windows embedded OS
Linux OS
Network, Routing, Firewalls
Virtualization
Configuration management applications and processes
Continuous Integration and Deployment
Information assurance
CAN/CANOPEN

The position entails working with classified information. Therefore, you are required to participate in and pass a security test conducted by authority.
