Software developer for distributed computing

ALTEN’s subsidiary XDIN INC in The US need a Software Developer for Distributed Computing to support their automotive costumers in USA. If selected, we can offer you an assignment at one of our clients Research & Development tech Center in the Bay Area with focus on exploring and utilizing new technologies. This is a long-term initiative and this position gives you chance to get some new exciting work experience abroad.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be to work with design and support of the prototype development and interesting proof of concept projects. To develop, setup and maintain a high-performance simulation platform in the cloud and on premise. You should also develop, test and deploy changes to the agents and the simulation framework. At last but not least you will work cross functional in a pragmatic way to achieve success as a team.

Required qualifications:
- M.Sc/PhD in Electrical Engineering /Computer Science /Physics or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent mathematical skills and understanding the principles of scalable distributed computing
- 2+ years applied knowledge within software development (C/C++, Java, or Python)

Desired qualifications:
- Good knowledge within development and agent-based simulation (ex. Repast, MatSim)
- Good knowledge within distributed data processing (MPI, Spark, Hadoop)
- Good knowledge within development of game physics engine algorithms
- Managing and setting up compute resources in cloud (preferably Azure)
- Experience in optimization frameworks for DNN models
