We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for our Business Intelligence department at SEB in Stockholm.

About the job

As our new Senior Data Engineer your primary responsibility will be to develop new technical capabilities within the Hadoop data lake, creating data pipelines to make data available for various business users and applications. You will work in a very close cooperation with the business to understand how the technological development affects our business.

You will be a part of an agile team of experienced and dedicated professionals consisting of experts in various Big Data technologies. Our technical environment consists of Java, Scala, Python, Hadoop / Hortonworks, Apache, Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming and Elastic Search. Here you will have a chance to make a difference and to work with challenging tasks. You will have great opportunities to both develop and take further steps in your career – working with in a highly collaborative environment.

Who are you?

To succeed as our Senior Data Engineer, we believe that you have deep knowledge in Java and Scala and have a great passion about Big Data. It is likely that you are have experience from building on premise big data pipeline on Hadoop/Hortonworks and streaming frameworks and components such as Apache, Kafta, NIFI, Flink and Spark Streaming.

As a person, you have a strong passion within your field and enjoy working with new technologies, tools and processes. You have an analytic mindset and a pragmatic approach towards problem-solving. Finally, we think that you have excellent capabilities to engage people and build relationships – you are basically a great communicator.
