Our consultant pool consists of Swedish and non Swedish consultants within the fields of embedded systems, online solutions, system architecture and application development. Now we are looking for new candidates to come work with us as consultants, on-site with our customers in Sweden.

We are looking for self-confident people with good communication skills and a genuine interest in technology. This role will belong to our client's Customer Operations team which is delivering telematics services through application and infrastructure operation to a number of brands. The team you will be part of has the responsibility for the operations of client's customers telematics solutions. This means that they deploy, operate and monitor solutions according to agreed SLAs. The team today consists of around 30 people, represented at 3 sites globally.
Client is now looking for a Production Technical Specialist (i.e. Server and Network Engineer). Important elements of the position are understanding operations in a Linux and Java based environment. Equally important is the understanding of Telematics and communication over mobile networks. We expect you to have the ability to troubleshoot in a complex operational environment involving multiple partners or suppliers, and to have a service-minded attitude.

Focused competences (please make sure this is documented in your CV):
- You have several years of experience in Linux, preferably Red Hat
- Experience in scripting
- Knowledge in high availability installations
- Experience in Application servers (JBoss or WebSphere)
- Deployment of application in application servers
- Basic database knowledge (Oracle)
- Knowledge in Network (Fire Wall, Load Balancers, etc)
- Knowledge in ITIL

Good to have (please mention if applicable):
- Telecom experience is an advantage.

Start: Spring 2015, or ASAP.
Duration: 6-12 months, with possible extension.
Extent: Full-time, 40h/week. Paid overtime can be requested by the customer.
Compensation: Negotiable. For Schengen-citizens, there is also an option to undertake the assignment as a subcontractor to Telescope.
