Engineering Effectiveness (EE) is what might be called Developer Tools, Developer Productivity, Engineering Infrastructure, or Developer Efficiency. We provide the tools and processes that allow the rest of our engineers to do their job, focusing on the things that are used by most of our engineers. 

We have created centralised teams with the mission of helping our development teams to deliver quickly and at the same time scale to a great number of users and enabling our customer- and employee growth. The centralised teams acts as force multipliers by turning specialised knowledge into reusable building blocks. Empowered with these tools in hand, development/domain teams can focus on solving problems within their specific product domain.

What you will do:

The EE vision is: 

”Support software engineers and the organisation with processes and tools to build new features with quality, speed and joy and to focus on delivering core business value with stable operations.” 

We are using the latest technology and all our systems are operated in the cloud which gives us a lot of opportunities to create robust and scalable solutions, and to have fun. 

The work of the EE team is enabling LeoVegas to handle approximately 1,300,000,000 transactions a month, peak load at around 100 000 transactions per minute and 10,000 concurrent users. 

• The main responsibility will be to continue to drive and develop the EE vision. 
• The role also includes people management for the EE teams. You should ensure that people can grow as engineers, deliver healthy technology and generally having a great time. 
• A solid technology background is key so that you can challenge your team members to be their best. 
• You will have the opportunity to influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution.

Who are we looking for:

• Experience in leading engineering teams.
• Passionate about leading people in a bottom-up culture.
• You are a leader and engineer with knowledge and experience in programming and/or managing infrastructure.
• Strong social skills to communicate with stakeholders and to be an ambassador for Engineering Effectiveness.
• Eager to apply and learn about technology and lean principles.
