Our Technology team manages the development and maintenance of our global connectivity platform – and your experience is needed.We are now looking for a Senior Architect with fresh Java skills to join the Management Team in Supporting Services within the Technology function in Volvo Group Connected Solutions. As Senior Architect in the Supporting Services area you are responsible for driving the architectural roadmap for our microservices platform as well as providing continuous support to our delivery organization. We do not only develop on-request, but also help stakeholders to identify the optimal solution concept. You coordinate between architects in the domain teams, both inside Supporting Services and in collaboration with other units. As a member of the Supporting Services Management Team you take lead in addressing and highlighting overall architectural issues in the MT. There will also be opportunities to travel, since one of the groups is in Bangalore, India.Welcome to the heart of connectivity!Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for continuous update of target architecture of the Supporting Services part of our micro services platformCoordinate between architects in the domain teams, both inside Supporting Services and in collaboration with other unitsSupport DevOps teams to execute on target and plansSupport DevOps teams in critical deliveries – hands on architectural work, design and developmentDrive exploration of new technologies that have potential to improve our offerTrack and report progress in deliveries regarding fulfillment of target architectureMentor projects, teams and team membersTake the role as Architectural Reviewer of deliveriesCompetence profile & QualificationsFor this position we put high focus on interpersonal skills and attitude.
