At Core System Platform we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture - key for enabling innovation within areas such as advanced connectivity, machine learning and autonomous drive. Our mission is to create a Vehicle Control Unit platform using new technologies like driveOS and NVidia’s latest chip technology in combination with more traditional car signalling technologies.
We are dedicated to deliver platform functions simplifying the application development to create a safe, reliable and secure platform solution within Volvo Cars for increased innovation and speed.

What you will do
Together with your Team you will be supporting software developers working on top of our new platform using our software development kit (SDK). The SDK is a key enabler for increasing speed and quality of the software deliveries in the ever more complex software environment of a modern car. The SDK supports all aspects of the software development cycle: a documentation framework for the platform, a build environment, test environments (virtual as well as physical) and a continuous integration environment where applications meet and integrate with the platform. 
By helping software developers to get started with our platform and using our functionality, you will become the expert in how to develop applications on Core System Platform.
You will together with your team also create an efficient way of giving support and being a collaborative force that spreads know-how about our Core System Platform. Your team will also give support in debugging of defects and have the triaging role for defects.
With your knowledge and contact with many other development organizations within Volvo Cars, you will also ensure that our platform is used as intend. By that, we get a powerful platform run in an efficient way in coming vehicles.

You and your skills
We expect you have experience from working in a modern SW development organization.
To be successful in this job we also believe that you have experience from working with technical support and documentation. Preferably also good competence in at least one of the two areas:
* Software development in C and/or C++ for POSIX-like environments.
* Tool and infrastructure development for SDKs and/or CI chains using Python, Git and related tools.
