We are looking to expand the Hazelight team with a full time Audio Programmer.Hazelight is an independently owned game development studio and we just released our first title A Way Out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We are now embarking on our next creative adventure. Hazelight is led by Josef Fares, writer and director of A Way Out and Brothers –A Tale of Two Sons.At Hazelight we have a company culture of direct constructive feedback, always based on what would be best for our game. It is important that you thrive in a team setting since we are working in an open office environment.As our new Audio Programmer you will work on-site with Hazelight’s great development team in our offices in Stockholm, Sweden. We have just moved into our own corner of the magnificent Münchenbryggeriet by the waterfront in Södermalm, Stockholm.ResponsibilitiesAs the Audio Programmer, you will be responsible for providing programming support for the audio team. You will be tasked with developing audio tools for game development content authoring and build pipelines, and be the designated owner of the design and creation of those tools, in collaboration, and with the input of the rest of the audio team.This will include creating scripts to automate various workflow-related tasks on developer workstations, developing automated content cooking pipelines, and integrating existing middleware functionality into the game’s engine.QualificationsStrong communication skills and experience working within a team.Deep understanding of C++ and Unreal Engine 4 is required.Experience programming Python scripts for automation and a strong grasp of programming fundamentals.Prior experience working with Wwise audio middleware and Reaper. Experience in Reascript is meritorious.Knowledge of version control in general, with experience using and/or automating Git and Perforce.An in depth interest/understanding of audio is needed.Fluent in English.Documented experience working with on at least one AAA game.3-5 year experience as a Programmer, working in the game industry.
