EMEA Cab & Vehicle Assembly

EMEA Cab and Vehicle Assembly is responsible for manufacturing and assembly of cabs, complete trucks and knock-down (KD) kits for the Volvo, Renault and UD brands in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Our task is to supply the markets with the right number of trucks in a quality-assured process, at the right time and at the lowest possible cost. The Volvo Production System (VPS) is our lever to engage all our people in continuous improvement and to reach operational excellence.

GTO EMEA has production at 15 plants - 9 wholly-owned and 6 in collaboration with partners. The largest plants are located in Göteborg and Umeå in Sweden, Ghent in Belgium, Bourg and Blainville in France, and Kaluga in Russia.

GTO EMEA Project manager

You will be working with different projects in Umeå plant. Either with implement global projects, or run projects on region level withing EMEA.
You will report to the head of Umeå Plant.

Main activities and responsibilities

- Represent EMEA Manufacturing in investigations, prestudies, Intro blocks, start cost projects and PMR:s
- Drive GTO requirements and strategies in start cost projects and PMR:s
- Coordination of intro blocks
- Early build management
- Prestudy investigations
- PAP and gate monitoring
- Work according to GDP and QJ process
- Prepare plan for project
- Write status report
- Initiate required process and IS/ IT development
- Cost control of project budgets

Critical competencies for the position

- University/Masters Degree or equivalent.
- Leadership experience
- Experience on Project Management.
- Cross functional works and multi-cultural environment ability
- Skills for communication and networking
- Good skills in written and spoken English is required.
