Software Engineer

Your role

We believe that you are a curious, open and outgoing person who can easily cooperate in both small and large projects. You will work in smaller teams with competent colleagues and develop new functions in the fighter aircraft Gripen.

The functions developed by you and your team will have many interfaces towards other parts of the aircraft which will give you the opportunity to get a good overall understanding of the different complex systems in Gripen. This will be a good base for your future develop and career at Saab.
In your work you will continuously develop your expertise, both by training and competence transfer from experienced colleagues.

What you will be a part of

In our modern development environment you will be a part of the entire development chain e.g definition of requirements, modelling, design and verification in flight simulators. Your work content and future development will be depending on your experience and interest and of course the future need from the company.

Your profile

We are looking for individuals that like to cooperate in a curious and humble way with good communication. You also have good abilities to make your own decisions and initiatives in your daily work.
Additionally we value your strive to contribute with new ideas in your work to develop both technology and way of working.

You are M.Sc or B.Sc or have relevant work experience with an interest in development of technical systems. You have good understanding on the demands that are required when developing software in safety critical computers. You have good technical understanding and also feel comfortable to take different leader roles.
You take responsibility and have a good ability to work with different personalities and spread positive energy within the team. You also have a pedagogical ability to educate less experienced and understand the importance of informing others.
The primary programming language is C++ and you have high understanding for the entire development chain - from requirements to verification.
