A key role is open at Mynewsdesk headquarters. Take the opportunity to join as Development Team Lead for one of our development teams in Stockholm.
What is it like to work at Mynewsdesk?
We have four different development teams at Mynewsdesk located in Stockholm, Oslo and Leipzig.
As a Team Lead you are a part of the dev management team and you will work very close with other team leads in Oslo and Leipzig and the CTO to plan roadmaps, improve development processes and create highly motivated teams.
In our matrix organization you will work closely with product management, data, design, business systems and support to ensure that we are always improving in different areas where your team is involved.
As a Development Team Lead you will get your team to execute on roadmaps and goals through our values and a strong company culture that is emphasized by a caring, progressive and open environment. You will report to the CTO.
The Team
The Development team in Stockholm is a mix of frontend and backend developers as well as QA with experience ranging from junior to senior. We are very proud of our diverse team that has a mix of both gender and nationalities.
Tech
Mynewsdesk has a long experience of saas and web development. To name some of our technologies; we are using Heroku and AWS for hosting and most part of the stack is written in Ruby on Rails and React. For collaboration we are using many of the standard tools such as Github, Jira, Slack and Google Suite.

- You have experience of leading and coaching a group of individuals
- You have been working as a team lead or agile coach before
- You have worked with remote teams and developers and know the challenges and opportunities that it gives
- You are used to lean tricks and know how to coach a development team to get things out quickly
- You have great documentation and communication skills and are able to be meaningful and clear with a light tone of voice
- You are a doer that loves to get your hands dirty and getting things done
- You are fluent in English, both in writing and speaking since it is our working language
- You are supportive and a people person
Nice to haves!
- You have organized meetups or other type of tech events
- You have more than three years of experience with programming, sysadmin, design or product management
- You have experience of working with web development teams
- You are used to programming languages and tools such as Ruby, Rails, Java, Python, Bash or Javascript
- Certifications of agile methods or leadership training
