Software SMS Team Lead

Our cloud communications platform reaches every mobile phone on the planet, in seconds or less, through mobile messaging, voice and video. We are a profitable international company with 550 employees, a global engineering team and the engineering headquarter in Malmö.

Our SMS Rest API team have more than 300 million transaction per month. The team has increased in size and we are now in a position to split it in two and are seeking a team lead. For a talented individual we are offering the opportunity to work in an environment with high traffic, on a service that never can go down, with high profile USA tech customers and very skilled collogues. The team is responsible for building both our own APIs, customer bespoken APIs as well as managed API to operate the service.

At the moment, the office is still in Lund, but in December 2019 we will move to a brand-new office right next to the central station in Malmö.

About the job

We have a modern micro server architecture on multi service platform offering services such as WhatsApp, SMS, RCS, IP messaging, Conversation platforms tools with both internal and external web portals. It is hosted in AWS as well as our own data centers with us as a company pushing for cloud native and Kubernetes. We are proud of that out of the 10 leading US tech companies 8 are using our platform.

As a Software Team Leader you provide technical leadership within the team, mentor more junior team members and promote teamwork. You are also a strong individual contributor on code level as the role entails at least 50% hands on coding. Being a team leader at Sinch also means you are the primary interface between the Technical Product Owner and the team as well as the technical advisor to management for your domain.

Your Profile

• You are a skilled Java backend developer with a high level of ambition
• You are a good communicator who enjoys to lead and develop others
• You are eager to learn and want to make a difference
• You have a passion for software development and innovation
• You have a relevant education preferable Master of Science
• You have experience working in an international environment in English
• Experience with messaging technologies is an advantage
