At Massive we're looking for a passionate Technical Animator to help rig and skin assets for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, while supporting the character, props and animation teams. As a Technical Animator, you will frequently interact across teams consisting of artists, level designers and programmers to push the status quo within technical animation and games development.This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite. We kindly ask you to apply with your CV, portfolio and message to the hiring manager / cover letter in English. Applications will be reviewed whilst the job-ad is posted. ResponsibilitiesRigging and skinning of a variety of characters and gears optimized for real time enginesResearch new rigging solutions to push our characters to the next levelCollaborating with a team of technical animators to develop current and new rigging tools, on DCC’s and SnowdropCooperating on development of new facial rigging solutions for VHQ and NPC charactersContributing to the setup of a new automated facial animation pipelineCollaborate with animators and directors on character setup and new character specifications based on current and next-gen real time limitationsQualificationsYou are a passionate gamer and an even more passionate Technical Animator or passionate Animator who wants to transition into Technical Animation. You have spent a lot of time playing benchmark titles on both PC and Consoles. You are open to developing your own and on your wider teams' ideas and you constantly aspire to push your work to the highest possible level. This means that you're approachable, flexible, structured and responsible. You are inspired by new technology and cleaver solutions. You are constantly on the lookout for ways to improve visual quality, and what's behind it or the workflow to achieve it. It’s also important that you have strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to share your knowledge to the rest of the team. Preferably you have a combination of classical or 3D animation training with a good technical knowledge and a focus on games.
