In the transforming transport industry there are many opportunities for new solutions and business. Scania is now looking for a full-stack developer with a genuine interest in understanding the customer’s business and the new set of problems they are facing.
Job description
Our team is responsible for developing solutions for supporting the Scania Fleet Care service where the customers should get a piece-of-mind-operation by knowing that its Scania vehicles are monitored and maintained in the best way. In order to cater to the customer uptime needs we constantly monitor the vehicles for deviations and come up with preventive suggestions on issues for a fleet manager to act on.
From the start three years ago until today we have grown steadily and currently we are monitoring the health of 14 000 vehicles in our Fleet Monitoring application. In order to scale up further and to use synergies from other development we are now building a new solution on Scania’s Digital Retail Platform.
We are today three Software Developers and one Product Owner in the team. We work in close collaboration with business development and the end users in an agile way. For the new project we use Java, .Net core, React and AWS.
About You
We believe that you have a holistic view on the development cycle and therefore do not want to focus solely on a specific part of the problem. You appreciate the value of good cooperation and you are comfortable with the agile culture and ways of working. We also believe that you are a problem solver driven by customer needs rather than a specific technical stack. Moreover, you feel comfortable delivering in short iteration cycles.
Your Profile
We want you to have good understanding of programming principles and appreciation of the purpose and the practices of Agile. You work in the complete stack, from backend to frontend. We also want you to be curious and to have the ability to learn new technology domains. You are fluent in English at professional business level.
