Axis is looking for the right person to fill an open position as a Software Engineer at the New Video Product department within our Research & Development (R&D) organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In the role as Software Engineer, you will play an important part in our development projects for new cameras. You will work in our small product-centric team responsible for the development of Fixed Network Cameras, from early product development to mass production. Your responsibilities will include:
* Translate requirements into features that can be developed
* Perform analysis, design and implementation of new functionality that solves our customers’ requirements
* Integrate and verify software created by other Axis departments
* Perform advanced debugging of complete embedded systems
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a genuine interest in programming and a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar. You have experience from C-programming in a Linux environment. You are new graduate or have a couple of years of working experience.
We furthermore think you are a curious and result-oriented person that can work well on your own or in a team. You have very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and in writing.
In addition to the above, experience from the following areas is meriting:
* Low-level programming, device drivers, etc.
* Debugging tools
* Photography, optics, and image sensor technology
* Electronics and computer hardware design.
THE NEW VIDEO PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT
The New Video Products department develops new network video products and accessories from idea to mass production using Axis technology platforms. We are about 100 employees in the department divided in six teams with focus on different product areas.
The typical employee has a master's degree in computer science or electronics and works in roles such as software engineer, technical lead, technical expert, camera designer, project manager or line manager. Our goal is to efficiently run product development projects and deliver products to the market with high quality to strengthen Axis' market leading position.
