Connected Car is one of the main focus areas at Volvo Cars and aim at delivering the next generation of connected vehicles and services. Volvo Cars Connected Car IT contains new development, establishment of new services and maintenance of existing services.
It has a high level of complexity including coordination with other IT services and business functions.

What we offer
The resource we are looking for will work within the Connected Car IT development teams.
This team is an agile, delivery focused group doing custom development and service delivery as well as taking on research/investigative tasks and proof of concept development.  The team acts as a shared development pool with several internal projects and business stakeholders placing requirements on it and acts as DevOps team, a maintenance and resolver team.
We are looking for someone who is delivery focused, proactive and able to work under rapidly changing conditions. You should have a positive and “get it done” attitude; we need to change the culture and we want you to help.

What you´ll do
You will work as a Java backend developer in one of our Agile self-empowered scums teams that is responsible for one of our connectivity products. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest cloud based services and development tools together with great colleagues.

You and your skills:
• More than 2 years of experience as Java developer
• Experience with IoC, e.g. Spring
• Experience with relevant version control, build & deploy tooling – Git, Maven, eclipse
• Experience and understanding in development methodology principles (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
• Experience with relevant products – *nix, Docker, Kafka and Cassandra
• Experience with test driven development and test automation
• Integration technolgies. JMS/MQ, REST, AMQP, MQTT
• Web development Javascript, Typescript, HTML, Angular
• Experience of GUI design and testing
• Clean coding practices
• Information modelling and architecture
