Project manager / Technical coordinator, LHD Automation System

We are reinforcing our LHD application group with a project manager who is working with our control systems and autonomous solutions for our Scooptrams and Minetrucks.

Our teams have deep knowledge within the area of automation and machine control, such as localization, navigation, path planning, driver assistant functions as well as tele-remote solutions. Automation is on the very top of the Epiroc agenda, and as a member of our team you will have close cooperation with our colleagues within the organization in Örebro. Epiroc is committed to our customers and it is essential to gain understanding regarding their needs and requirements. 
Your mission
Your overall mission as Project Manager in the LHD Application group is to be the interface between our stakeholders and our development teams. You will represent our group in projects and participate in discussions with stakeholders, and in collaboration with the LHD project manager team distribute the tasks to our development teams.  Your specific mission in this position is to be our responsible project manager for customer projects. You will be working together with our internal stakeholder, Customer Centers as well as end customers. The collaboration with customer around the globe is an important part of our strategy. You will represent us and we believe that you will take a leading role in that collaboration. Our mission is to develop and provide autonomous solutions for preventing accidents and increase productivity, where your role in is to align and catch all interests related to our Automation solution. 
Your role is also to act as coordinator for our complete Automation solution offering from a technical perspective. You shall ensure that all parts of the automation system, both on the machine and outside the machine are maintained and developed in line with our plan. 
Your profile
You hold a Bachelor or Master of Science in Software Engineering or have similar experience. To succeed in this position you have experience in C++, are curious and interested in software development for machine control of manually operated and autonomous products. You are passionate about creating high quality solutions, have an interest in big yellow machines and like to work in an international environment with close contacts with end customers. We see it as meritorious if you have experience from project management, customer related projects, deep knowledge about our automation system or similar system. Experience of Linux, Jira, Git and/or Bitbucket is also meritorious.
