This role is within our Consumer Commercial Digital Products (CCDP) team, which is using digital technologies to reinvent the experience of becoming a Volvo customer. What’s in it for you?
We are looking for a skilled and ambitious QA Engineer that will be an important part of building up our in-house development teams in terms of Quality Assuring work. Your focus will be to greatly enhance the quality of the software delivering services that comes as a part of buying or owning a Volvo Cars. The work is situated in our new offices close to Gothenburg City in Gamlestaden.

You and your skills
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years’ experience of Testing (manual and automation) of business software applications with experience of exploratory testing and experience from web-based applications.  You have experience from hands-on functional and cross-functional testing in an Open Source tools like Selenium etc. We think you have knowledge in Scripting languages like JavaScript, Python etc and an exposure to basic C#, Node.js Java development environment as well as knowledge in SQL.
You have the understanding of full life cycle development from requirements gathering to delivery and have the ability to triage failures, identify root-cause, and define corrective actions. You have awareness of test automation and ability to spot points of value in the process and ability to use scripting to create automated tests.
We think you share our passion for technology and software quality and have the desire to work closely with developers, business analysts, Project Managers and other quality analysts in high collaborative environment to create and prioritize Test plans. As a person we think you are inspiring, motivating and moving the testing process forward in a positive and driven way. If you have an understanding of Continuous Delivery, experience from QA Lead or any other leadership skills we see them as desirable.

What you’ll do
• Develop the QA practices and strategies for our new in-house development teams
• In collaboration with the development teams set the guidelines and requirements on the test practices in the development process
• Building a path for successful cooperation between testers of different levels
• Controlling and managing difficulties that arise in different projects during testing related activities
• Help drive the QA work in our area
