For decades industries have been disrupted by technology. Our behaviour and everyday lives have changed drastically with products like Spotify, Netflix and Airbnb. One industry that is still left quite untouched is fashion, which is weird since it’s something that affect us every day. Given that each swede buy 13 kg of clothes and throw away 8 kg that same year, we’re obviously not happy with the current situation. For many reasons this need to change, and It’s Re:Leased is determined to be that change.
Who are we?
We are It’s Re:Leased, a service that allows you to rent the parts of your wardrobe you’d only wear a few times. Our goal is to provide more value and variation to your wardrobe without exhausting neither yours nor the planets resources.
Our vision is to fundamentally change how we consume fashion.
Why is this important?
Firstly, we are f*cking up the planet with our current way of consuming fashion and secondly, we’re still not happy or satisfied after all our endless purchases.
We want to free up time and money and create a sustainable lifestyle for women.
What are our chances to succeed?
HIGH! Swedish fashion industry alone revenues 36 billion dollars each year and the rapid changes within our consumer behaviour is driving the growth for the fashion rental segment.
We couldn’t ask for better timing to re:volutionize how we use fashion and we’re determined to lead the way.
We recently launched our subscription product that is already loved by our users.
What’s our next step?
The goal for the tech organisation within It’s Re:Leased is to create a smooth and fantastic wardrobe rental experience. This includes, working with logistics flow, user journey, prediction models on what customer wants and presenting a new personalized curated wardrobe every month.
Responsibilities:
Owning and developing our backend and infrastructure
Developing strategic product plans and goals for the backend in close collaboration with CTO and the rest of the team
Being a support in all areas of product and internal business, help spotting where we can improve operations and smoothen logistics. We’re a startup after all.
We believe you are
Senior – with at least 4 years of software engineering experience (emphasis on backend)
Have previous experience with JavaScript (node, React, GraphQL)
Are passionate about your work and strive to make things just a little bit better with every line of code you write
A big plus would be if you’ve worked with a product that handles users – analytics – subscription lifecycle within e-commerce or SaaS and all that jazz.

Remote working is possible. We intend to build a remote tech-team, which means you’ll have the flexibility to work from where-ever you are.
