THE GLOBAL ENGINEER PROGRAM EXPERIENCE
The Electrolux Global Engineer Program (GEP) is a proactive initiative that brings together young engineering talent across various functions and global offices of Electrolux. This program is for you, who are interested in a global, hands-on experience in an intercultural setting with the goal of securing global employment opportunities within the company upon a successful completion of the internship.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Work on projects that drive the Connectivity AI team to support the company’s big data agenda, collaborating with the Data Science Team.
As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with a team that combines research and engineering expertise focused on solutions for home appliances applying emerging technologies.
Ability to direct the change and enhancement in our current data analysis/machine learning system and infrastructure.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
·      Turning large volumes of data to a proper structure (ETL) for gaining further insights and applying machine learning together with deep learning to solve different problems regarding our appliances.
·      Using quantitative analysis and data mining to determine data quality and accuracy.
·      Perform ad-hoc queries to support client teams.
·      Visualize/present results in an intuitive/interpretable manner.
·      Analyzing new data sources and help drive the collection of new data.
·      Delivering insight-recommending areas for product enhancements.
·      Optimize and scale existing ETL pipelines.
·      Identify, design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

YOUR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
You are a graduating student or recent graduate of computer sciences or mathematics. You have Advanced English level

EXPERIENCE
·      Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or other relevant degree (Informatics, Statistics, Innovation Engineering, Applied Mathematics etc.)
Proficiency in Python (alternatively Scala/R programming languages)
·      Experience with Tensorflow
·      Experience with visualization tools/libraries such as matplotlib, plotly, etc.
·      Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark (with pyspark/Scala)
Strong communication skills relating technical work
