Test Automation Engineer

Grepit is a high-tech development firm founded in 2014 with offices in Sweden (Luleå, Linköping, and Stockholm) and the US (Palo Alto, CA). Our team combines engineers within the fields of electrical engineering, computer science, and automatic control. Grepit develops solutions and products for a broad range of customers from differentsectors (automotive, mining, smart buildings/cities, etc.). Our main focus is on embedded systems, high-speed data communication, FPGA programming, and PCB development.

The position
We are looking to strengthen our software development team with someone that brings experience, energy and insights in our team! As a software test automation engineer you will write software tools that run automated tests for one of our main customers. You will work independently but in close contact with the customer. Your responsibilities will include the design of testing tools to help testers and simplify the tests phase, and the integration of tests into Continuous Integration practice. Your responsibilities will include the design and test of automation scripts/frameworks, investigating the results and propose new solutions.

Your profile
You have a Bachelor or Master Degree in computer science or similar. Alternatively you have gained similar knowledge from work experience.
You are well-versed in test specification writing and execution.
You have knowledge and experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, and libraries Qt. Experience in a test context is a plus.
You have knowledge and experience in Computer networks, Windows and Linux OS administration.
You have the ability to plan, take initiative and work independently but also work in a team.
You have good communication skills.
You are fluent in English (written and spoken).

It is a plus if
You have some experience with Azure Devops or equivalent CI suite.
You can work from one of our offices in Sweden.
You have worked on projects using agile development methods like Scrum.
