The algorithms in our eye tracking products consists of a complex combination of computer vision, signal processing and machine learning methods. We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our mission and tackle the challenge of bringing high quality eye tracking to mass market.
As a member of the Algorithm team at Tobii, you are an important part of the core technology team, responsible for the development and analysis of eye tracking algorithms in all our products.
The role and responsibilities
As a Data Scientist in the Algorithm team, you will support the developers and project managers with data analysis and visualization tasks in order to bring eye tracking into the everyday life of potentially billions of people but also improve the life for people with disabilities and make a difference in the understanding of human behavior.
In this role you will:
Explore and draw insights from data related to user-facing sensor products
Design and develop data processing tools and visualizations
We are looking for someone who has:
Professional experience in data analysis or related fields
Very good knowledge of and experience with Python and Pandas Dataframes
M.Sc. or PhD in engineering physics, computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent
Additionally, we consider knowledge of or experience in any of the following a plus:
Apache Spark and/or Dask
Data Infrastructure architecture
Any interactive data visualization library tool (in Python) such as Bokeh or Plotly
Columnar data formats such as Parquet or ORC
Image processing and/or Machine Learning
C++
