Software Engineer

In this role you will develop and support cutting edge software enabled products for customers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. You will work in a team taking responsibility for the whole development cycle from gathering requirements, prototyping, designing, developing, building, unit-testing, documenting and packaging. There is a close collaboration with the product management team to define and shape the products.

About the position:

• At the Data Analytics unit of Sartorius, which product line Umetrics® suite is a leading data analytics software suite sold to customers worldwide
• Being part of a team extending our advanced data analytics with mechanistic models and Deep Learning
• Building applications on a Cloud Native platform with Docker and Kubernetes
• Deploying to multiple cloud vendors like AWS and Azure
• Working in a DevOps culture where test automation, infrastructure as code, versioned build pipelines, etc. on a daily basis
• Architecting, designing and implementing changes

The position is based in Umeå

About you:

• You have an academic degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• You like solving problems and believe in continuous learning and continuous improvement
• Previous experience in back-end software development is required
• Experience in Python language and ecosystem is essential
• Experience in microservice architecture, cloud development, DevOps practices is preferred
• Experience in Kafka, data streaming or Scala is preferred
• Experience in data analytics/ Machine Learning is desirable
• You like working in an agile team and value collaboration
