Description

You are a skilled software engineer with experience from complex IT systems. You are able to perform and prioritize your daily work both independently on your own as well as in coordination with team members and stakeholders. You embrace change and use your broad software development experience to reach high quality and make software development efficient with short time to market. As a software engineer in the team you are involved in a feature from beginning to end. Your task is to discuss and formulate requirements together with requester, solution design, development of back-end functionality, test and verification, documentation and support. Ability to communicate technical set-up as well as functional flow is a key factor to success. You will be in a cross functional team working on implementation of epics and features according to agile ways of working in 3 week sprints.

What are we looking for:

You are a back-end developer with experience from C++ and Pascal on the OpenVMS platform. Experience from OracleRDB and PostgreSQL databases is important. You have experience from cross functional development teams which are working with scrum. You are experienced in and motivated by working with all aspects from development to operations and support during go-live. Experience from Retail and specifically Retail Logistics is very valuable. As a person you are eager to learn, happy to share your knowledge and able to efficiently communicate with other development related roles in a cross functional team. You have experience from and enjoy working according to agile principles.

Mandatory competence and experience:

- We're looking for a 4-7 years experience (Senior) System Developer
- System development back-end with experience from C/C++ and Pascal
- Experience from working in an agile team according to Scrum methodology
- Experience from retail and/or logistic operations application development
- OracleRDB database
- PostgreSQL database
- Web services
- OpenVMS or Unix operating system
- Jira and Confluence as change management tools
- Git as source code management tool
