Are you interested in building products used by more than a billion people? Do you like shipping code at a rapid pace? Facebook is seeking an experienced Software Engineer that is passionate about building mobile and desktop web applications. This position is full-time and is based in Sweden.

The job responsibilities include the following;

• Code high-volume software using primarily C++ and Java
• Create web applications using primarily PHP
• Implement web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Build report interfaces and data feeds
• Understand software components from multiple partner teams, lead the integration of those components into the unified product code base, and drive their continued development.
• Build products integrated within the wider Facebook mapping ecosystem to deliver the best possible user experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field Edit

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 or more years of experience with perl, java, php, python, or c++
• 2 or more years of experience with Real time web mapping experience at scale
• 2 or more years of experience working with Open Street Maps Databases
