Senior Tester

Midas Technologies is recruiting for a number of technical IT positions based in the Midlands. Included in these requirements are roles for Test Automation Engineers to develop and execute automation tests for a Linux based OSS solution.
These opportunities will have a strong appeal for experienced candidates who have already been working in software development for at least 10 years or more.
The successful candidates will work in a development team and will be responsible for the test, build and delivery of JEE-based applications.

Responsibilities include:
- Test-driven development
- Technical analysis of products to identify test scenarios, best practices, tools and requirements
- Automation of function, integration and performance tests with a Java-based test framework
- Creation & verification of automated test & installation scripts
- Integration of tool and test code into Jenkins-based continuous integration loop
- Development of tools to assist with product install, configuration, upgrade and monitoring
- Manual testing when needed

Requirements:
- Java EE
- Excellent scripting and programming skills to automate tests using Python
- Agile development with continuous integration
- Junit
- Maven
- Web Technologies (e.g. JS, HTTP, and REST.)
- Linux
- Git
- Experience of Manual Testing

Some knowledge and experience of the following:
- JIRA
- Jenkins
- JMeter
- Selenium
