Utopia is looking for talented developers to expand and enhance our Stockholm office further. That means we are looking for you if you like to work in a fast paced, innovative and fun environment with smaller teams and lots of individual freedom.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Music is incredible. But as an industry, it has been slow, complicated, and disparate. While the tech world has moved into the future, the music industry continues to be shaped by inefficient systems of the past. At Utopia we believe there is a better way. It is our goal to build a better world for music.

Since 2016, Utopia Music has developed an innovative big data technology that can track in real-time music consumption on radio, streaming and tv. Our technology tracks online music sources and translates them into meaningful music consumption reports for royalty collection. Our data will enable artists and music copyright owners to increase their revenues and to be paid faster. The solution we’re building does not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents. Rather, it promises to boost their cash flows, and those of the artists they support, forming a system that works to the advantage of all participants.

Our co-founders are seasoned technology serial-entrepreneurs. The management team has deep experience in running listed companies, working in the music industry, building tech companies as well as in finance. We have recently closed a major financing round and have a 40+ strong team in Zug and Stockholm.

YOUR ROLE
As a Developer you work closely with one of our teams consisting of 3-4 developers, a project manager and a lead developer. You will work in an Agile way using Scrum starting every morning with a stand up and concluding sprints with a review and retrospective. At Utopia we will constantly make sure you as an individual and developer are learning and growing by daily knowledge transfer and mob programming sessions within the team as well as external seminars and education.

And remember all the qualifications listed below are the languages we are using right now but we are always looking for talented problem solvers with a passion for coding and music. So as long as you are willing to learn and know what gifs will crack us up you should apply!

QUALIFICATIONS
You are passionate about programming, problem solving and knowledge sharing
You are a backend developer (but knowing some frontend is a plus)
Knowing either Golang and/or Node.js (we use them both!)
Preferably you worked with MongoDB and/or SQL
You know JavaScript ES6 or TypeScript
If you know React, that's for sure a plus
You want to grow professionally
English speaking
