Hiber is building a social platform for Gen Z to communicate and express themselves through games. We're bringing together the best of social media and interactive entertainment enabling this generation of 2.4 billion to use games as a new medium for self-expression. We are looking to hire great people, who are passionate about using their talents to generate success. We are growing and looking for a skilled game engine engineer with a passion for the engineering side of animations.

You will be part of the game engine team and work together with Developers, Artists, Testers and other Stakeholders, to build and maintain our game engine. You will be part of the whole game development life-cycle; Design, Develop, Test, Release and Maintain.

Tasks include (but are not limited to)

- Build technologies to help solve game driven animation problems
- Implement tools and pipelines integrating with game systems to effectively create and iterate animation content
- Work with the artists to support their needs and ensure an easy workflow and high quality result
- Work closely with our artists to ensure a great player experience
- Develop new platform features
- Optimize game and framework for speed, quality and maintainability
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Qualifications

- Excellent knowledge of C++
- Comfortable defining how animations are organized and played back in-game
- Experience with blend tree systems
- Experience with low-level animation constructs: compression, blending, and posing
- Experience from working with large and complex projects
- Experience from working in an Agile/Scrum development
- Fluency in English

Good-to-haves

- Experience working with a game engine or other 3d rendering software
- Knowledge of WebAssembly and web based applications
- Experience with AWS cloud hosting and operations
- An advocate for unit testing and TDD
- Experience in Favro, Trello or similar tools
- Understanding of the entire build and release chain, from code to final product
- Experience from versioning tools, such as Git
- University degree in Computer Science or similar
