Software Engineer to Business Tech

We are now looking for Software engineers to bring in new competence to our new organisation Business Tech.

About the role

Being a developer at H&M Group means working as one team and create solutions which are simple yet powerful for the end user. Our smaller and cross-competent product teams offer great individual responsibilities where you’ll be accountable for the whole product lifecycle.

You will have the chance to build new experiences, improve existing products, and develop distributed systems powering our e-commerce website. This is a highly collaborative organisation with an entrepreneurial mindset where there will be opportunities to try out your creative and innovative ideas.

What you´ll do

You will work alongside experienced developers in an agile team, with the responsibility for creating and designing solutions which fulfills our customers shopping experience. Your team will be highly autonomic and have the ownership of the products you develop. Some of your daily work includes:

• Working with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Translate product strategy and requirement into suitable, maintainable and scalable solution design
• Collaborate closely with product owner and other cross-functional teams, share best practice as well as discuss and motivate design solutions
• And above all; Have an indecisive impact on how we shape the future of fashion by building solutions which exceeds our customers' expectations

What you’ll bring

As a developer at H&M Group you will work with a broad and holistic view. In addition to this, we believe you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Some years of work experience as a software engineer used programming language as Java or .NET
• Demonstrated history of working according to agile practices with knowledge of working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experienced in at least one cloud solution like Azure, AWS or GCP
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as understand and translate business requirements
• “You build it you run it” mindset – with hands-on experience of DevOps or equivalent for source code control (preferable Azure)
