QA Test Specialist

Nasdaq Technology is looking for a QA Test Specialist to join the Nasdaq Real Time Clearing product engineering team. Real Time Clearing helps clearinghouses meet the ever-increasing demands of the post-trade value chain with integrated position keeping, real-time risk and collateral management, as well as settlement, across markets. This is an opportunity to work within a highly skilled and experienced product engineering team. This role will require effective communication, team collaboration and in depth knowledge of test automation. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring the quality of our product.

We are working with an interesting and complex product with challenging quality requirements. You will join a highly qualified cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers. The teams work in close cooperation with Product Architects, Product Managers, and Product Specialists.

Role & Responsibility:

Create, execute and maintain tests according to test scripts and test plans

Review system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, and debug software solutions

Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow

Report issues found back to development teams

Resolve problems and ensure that software meets specified standards, development specifications and client requirements

Plan test scenarios to ensure that applicable tests are successfully completed and documented and there is a plan for problem resolution

What We're Looking For:

Knowledge in agile test approaches and the software development life cycle

Ability to create and contribute to documenting test strategy, test plan and test cases

Experience creating defect reports and documenting test results

Strong knowledge of Java and tools such as JIRA, Eclipse, Jenkins and GIT

Experience from the financial industry is meriting

Good knowledge about Derivatives Clearing functionalities is meriting

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Experience within QA testing or software development
