About the role

You will work in the core team as a PHP developer, creating new features, new soap calls, fixing bugs, refactor existing functions to enhance performance and security. You will also be part of the transition work where we rewrite existing functions in Java for backend and HTML5 and JavaScript for frontend.

We are looking for an experienced PHP developer with a strong technical background to join our fantastic core team. The team consists of six PHP developers and four QA members working together to deliver new features, work with performance, security and bug fixing.

We are currently on a journey to transition from our classic platform built on PHP and Flash to a new platform built on Java and HTML5. The core team is part of this journey and you will have the opportunity to learn new skills.

What you’ll be doing

- Implementing new functionality in our classic platform build on PHP and Laravel
- Refactoring some functions to enhance performance and security
- Supporting our customer support team with L3 questions related to the system
- Be part of the transition journey

We need you to have

- Multiple years of experience in PHP development
- Excellent English, both spoken and written

The WOW-factor

- Java and JavaScript knowledge is a plus
