Scrum Master and Data Pipeline Developer

Within the Data Platform team we are looking for an experienced Scrum Master/KanBan Lead to fill a split role as Team Lead and Developer. Our Data Platform is continuously being developed and is a combination of traditional RDMS and the Hadoop framework. It is implemented on premise but on its way to a Hybrid implementation (on prem and multi cloud).

The team you will be a part of

You will be part of a growing team and together with the Product Owner, Architect and Developers improve our way of working. You will help us to accelerate our journey to provide trusted data for analytics (Data Warehousing, Self Service BI, Machine Learning) and for operational use.

Data platform they use is Hadoop based, Hortonworks HDP on our way to Cloudera CDP (creating a hybrid platform with clusters both on prem and in the cloud).
Developing in languages such as Python, R, SQL, Spark, Scala, Java.

Your Profile

You have a successful history of acting as scrum master for development teams and great experience of agile methods. You enjoy working in teams where you share failures and successes and gain knowledge together. You always want to continuously improve the way we work and creating an environment where the team can deliver according to agreements. You thrive in a technology-friendly environment and you like to be hands on in development and can work as developer in the team.

You also need to have the following technical skills:

• Technical background in one or more languages such as Python, R, SQL, Scala, Java
• Experience of the Hadoop eco system: Spark, Hive, LLAP, HBase, HDFS, Kafka etc
• Experience of DevOps and/or CI/CD (Continious Integration - Continious Deplyment)
• Experience of working with data pipelines and/or traditional data preparation

Experience from working in any kind of analytics teams, traditional (DW-BI) or advanced (ML etc) is a plus.
