What do we offer?
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars’ Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicle as well as in component form. We operate and develop propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, batteries and transmissions, as well as aerodynamic and climatic testing. Our work includes hardware- and software preparation of testing, test execution and processing of measurement data.

To meet the future, we need to utilize state of the art methods to test and verify next generation cars in an efficient and correct manner. Do you want to contribute to the software development and -integration in our propulsion test cells? Then the role as HIL Software Developer for Propulsion & Climate Labs within the group Methods & Software is the place for you to prosper.

What you’ll do
You will join a team committed to working with the software development and -integration in our propulsion test cells. We manage complex systems and architectures with the aim of increasing automation, efficiency and quality in the field of electric motor-, battery-, combustion engine- and transmission testing.

You will develop interfaces between HIL, test cell control system and the test object (electric motor-, battery-, combustion engine- and transmission controls). You will also troubleshoot and validate models. You will have the chance to support HIL systems in a variety of test cells and participate in development of new testing methods.

In this role you will also have the opportunity to build a broad network within R&D and the Laboratory.

Skills and Experience are Important: 
* M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equal experience
* Modelling using Matlab/Simulink or similar simulation tools
* Knowledge in dSPACE  and Vector systems is meritorious
* Experience from testing or similar work is meritorious
