Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Architecture

Senior Software Engineer with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience needed. A strong background working with Python and ecosystem is essential.

We are recruiting for an experienced software engineer to help us take our market leading Data Analytics products to the next level. In this role you will assess and define our platform architecture, as well as develop and support cutting edge software enabled products for customers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. You will work in a team taking responsibility for the whole development cycle from gathering requirements, prototyping, designing, developing, building, unit-testing, documenting and packaging. There is a close collaboration with the product management team to define and shape the products.

What you will accomplish together with us:

• Being part of a team expandingtending our advanced data analytics with mechanistic modellings and Deep LearningAI capabilities
• Building applications on a Cloud Native platform with involving technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Deploying to multiple cloud vendors like AWS and Azure
• Working in a DevOps culture where including test automation, infrastructure as code, versioned build pipelines, etc. on a daily basis
• Liaising with the wider Sartorius organization in order to ensure common architecture and connectivity between software offerings across business areas
• Architecting, designing and implementing changes

What will convince us:

• You have an academic degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• You like solving problems and believe in continuous learning and continuous improvement
• Previous experience in back-end software development is required
• Experience in Python language and ecosystem is essential
• Experience in microservice architecture, cloud development, DevOps practices is essential
• Experience in Kafka, data streaming or Scala is preferred
• Experience in data analytics/ Machine Learning is desirable
• You like working in an agile team and value collaboration
