Who we are

Product Development Unit Radio (PDU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson’s radio products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson’s strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G. In mid-2019 PDU Radio launched an organizational and operational transformation to facilitate the gradual, but rapid change from radio boxes to functions and modular architectures

Common Radio Modules (CRM) Sector focuses on enabling fast introduction of common key technologies and driving common solutions, modularization and reuse work to the next level. It includes global teams working on software development, algorithm development, digital and mixed signals, production test development and Continuous Integration & Infrastructure.

Continuous Integration & Infrastructure department at CRM leads the development of the Radio Software continuous integration framework. The department is responsible for global CI & Infrastructure strategy and governance. The department has a global team consists of sub-units with teams working in several areas like SW Lab, Test Framework, Build & Automation, Machine Learning & Analytics and CM. Our vision is to build highly empowered and self-organized teams applying Agile/Lean ways of working in line with the DU functional framework.

Our Exciting Opportunity

We are offering an opportunity to be an important part of the 5G journey ahead of us, and lots of chances to optimize it by data mining, analyzing and machine learning from it.

We are looking for a developer/data mining engineer to be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team responsible for datamining, machine learning & analytics in the CI&I department. The responsibilities are connected to the development of internal tools and CI machinery supporting and optimizing the development, integration and testing of Ericsson Radios.

You will

  • Analyze requirements
  • Write software code most often in Python
  • Work with relational and non relational databases
  • Work with CI department and CI flow

To be successful in the role you must have

  • data driven development mindset, and be open to learning and working in a dynamic agile environment
  • familiarity with common data storage, transport and analysis tools, including relational and non-relational databases, message buses and REST APIs.

More specifically, but not mandatory, the ideal candidate will have a familiarity with

  • non-relational databases such as Elasticsearch/Kibana,
  • SQL relational databases such as MySQL/Postgres
  • message bus technology such as Apache Kafka
  • building ORM REST APIs with Swagger interfaces using Flask-RESTX or FastAPI
  • Python

Front end development competence such as ReactJS is meritorious, but not a requirement
