About Backend developer position with video focus  
We are looking for backend developers who will work in close collaboration both with app developers, as well as developers of streaming services. We are developing our backend services in Java and Kotlin using Spring and deploying them in OpenShift and Kubernetes. As your focus will be towards our new drive on video streaming and app development, we value such experience higher that the experience we already have plenty of in-house. 

In addition to great knowledge in Java or Kotlin for common backend development, you need experience of doing some backend development in apps. You don't need to have experience of all platforms, but should have experience of at least one of: 

• Android app development in Java or Kotlin 
• iOS development in Swift or Objective-C 
• Apple TV development (tvOS) 
• Chromecast app development (Chromecast SDK) 

While we don't require direct experience of working with streaming servers or encoders or development thereof, we are looking for a developer with some previous experience of working in a company that offered some kind of streaming services. 

In addition to that it's beneficial if you have experience of: 

• Spring framework 
• Building Docker containers 
• Deployment to OpenShift or Kubernetes 

About me – Johan Saur, Backend developer  
I am Johan and I have been working in the Horse Digital team at ATG for soon 2 years, as Senior Backend developer. While currently developing microservices in Java and Kotlin, I have also done the same using Scala when developing backend services for some major Swedish newspapers. In addition to that I have several years of experience of video streaming, including working as a backend developer at GlobalConnect/IP-Only (or Qbrick as it once was called). As a CDN supplier we developed and provided everything from ingest and origin to intermediate and edge cache and distribution of other streaming protocols, as well as other services needed to host a full scale CDN.  

I am a person who loves technical challenges and to have a good discussion about them with my colleagues. In my free time I like to carry around my camera and capture special moments, meet my friends and family, gym and watch movies preferably horror and sci-fi movies.
