Tech Lead to Care to Translate

Thousands of patients every day are not getting the healthcare they deserve.

Why not?

One simple reason: these patients are not speaking the same language as their doctor or nurse. If patients and healthcare personnel can't communicate, equal healthcare is not possible.

With 7 000 languages around the world, increasing globalization and migration, this problem is only growing.

At Care to Translate we are running a social impact company that develop a medical translation app. We solve the problem of language barriers by offering safe and efficient communication.

What are we proud of?

• We have 60 000 users in 100 countries
• Our users have made 1.5 million translations. Showing that they do not only download the app but actually comes back to it
• We have great reviews. On Google Play, one user says "the best app in healthcare".

What's our next challenge?

We are working on two things:

• Scaling our tech. We need to make sure that as we continue to grow, our platform keeps up.
• Becoming the digital interpreter for the healthcare sector. We are already better than Google Translate and cheaper than a traditional interpreter. One day, we will be as good as a traditional interpreter for a fraction of a cost.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

You will be our second full-time developer, with the opportunity to have a key role in the development of our products. You will also decide on our roadmap.

We are using following technologies: .NET Core, Azure, MSSQL, React Native (and regular React).

You will work closely to our fantastic CTO.

We believe you have

• Great experience working with modern JavaScript projects (> es2015)
• Worked with app development before
• Have experience with React or similar frameworks
• Previous experience of .NET and C#

It is a plus if you

• Have an interest for technical architecture and cloud based services
• Previous experience with React Native
