Your responsibilities:

Nasdaq is now looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the clearing and risk development part of the European Market Systems Team within Global Technology. The team develops and supports our post-trade solutions that are used by our high profiled Nasdaq exchanges and our own Clearinghouse in the Nordics, and we work in a fast pace international FinTech environment.

In this role, you will work with a very skilled group of engineers working in a cross-functional team that works closely together and consists of Business Analysts, Developers, and QA professionals.

What you will do:

The team works with functions measuring different types of risks in financial markets in the Risk Management part of the Clearing system, utilizing data from many other parts of the clearing system. Furthermore, the team develops and designs new complex functionality and maintain the existing codebase in an environment handling large volumes of data and demands for high availability. Also, the team modifies existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability

You will bring:

Degree in Engineering in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, or similar

Some years of working experience working with Java

Strong analytical skills paired with business acumen

Excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

A strong inner drive and motivation, thriving in a high pace environment

Interest in contributing to the culture of working in an agile environment

It would be great if you have:

Experience from FinTech industry, preferably within the financial risk/financial mathematics area

Experience with GIT, Unix/Linux, and Jira

Experience from Cloud technologies such as Kubernetes
