At the moment we are looking for a Backend Developer to join our Video Hosting Systems group within the New Business team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As backend developer at the Video Hosting System team you will be working in a modern way to create high performing web products with tens of thousands concurrent users with high demands on scalability and stability. This comprises guidance and work with architecture and design, as well as implementation and troubleshooting in complex environments. You will be part of a highly agile team with dedicated colleagues who are open to new ideas. Creativity and innovation is always encouraged, and the work you do will be noticed and make a difference.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have some years of experience in professional web projects and are a dedicated, innovative individual with a strong personal drive. We believe you have a keen interest in web development, especially in the backend. You like to work in a structured and object oriented way and have skills and knowledge about Nodejs/io.js, JavaScript, PHP and SQL.

If you have worked with any of the following areas it is considered as a merit:

* HHVM/HACK
* Networking (TCP/IP, UDP, routing, DNS, http)
* High availability and large scale Linux based systems
* Test automation (Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, Jasmine.js, e t c)
* Video codecs and streaming (H.264, H.265, jpeg, MP4, MKV, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, MPEG-DASH)

OUR NEW BUSINESS TEAM
The New Business team is a unique department within Axis. The department is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products on the market. The team has market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources.

The Video Hosting System team is responsible for the AVHS (Axis Video Hosting Solution) product within the New Business team. The AVHS product is supporting the majority of all existing and new products that Axis is developing and is in the forefront of video security surveillance systems and continuously adds new innovative features and technology.
