PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Designer Underwear & Lingerie Woman will support the development of all design activities for the Woman Underwear & Lingerie Line.
The role will also support the presentations of the line to merchants, buyers, product developers and sales teams in adoption and proto reviews.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Seasonal graphic design/style activities for Underwear & Lingerie collections
- Design and develop commercial woman products, planning the line according to fashion trends and sales needs
- Realization of technical sheet, graphics, seasons book and drawings
- Samples and production’s check and fitting in office and on suppliers’ factories
- Trends, fabrics and details researcher (internet, fairs, trip, etc...)
- Exhibitions, fashion show, technical presentations and lookbook
- Moodboards and colour charts
- Visual team support
- Visit manufacturers or trade shows to get fabric samples
- Select fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each garment or accessory
- Work with the Design team and provide comments and notes for all fittings concerning graphic tee bodies as well as advise graphic placemen
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Fashion and/or Design Arts
- Previous experience in the same role and field (with strong competencies on LINGERIE WOMAN)
- Trend catcher, fabrics and details researcher (internet, fairs, market visits, etc...)
- Taste for prints and sense of color
- Extensive knowledge about product, fabrics, fitting dev., style and graphics
- Strong attitude and understanding of fashion product, style and graphic trends
- Highly creative with a clear understanding of the Guess Brand DNA
- Fashion eye with commercial awareness
- Innovative traits are necessary with strong attention to authentic details and with self-organized skills
- Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines and design calendar
- Team player
- Dynamic personality, fast thinker, positive attitude
- Available for frequent travelling
- Sense of urgency
- Fluent English
- Good knowledge of computer skills: excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
- Extensive computer experience including but not limited to Microsoft: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop etc.
