DIGITAL CONTENT EDITOR - MARKETING

In this position you will be part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,500 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
The Digital Content Editor is an integral member of the Global Customer Marketing Team and will be responsible for all customer facing and internal websites of the division. The Digital Content Editor will work intensively with other marketing functions to ensure a consistently high customer experience with a focus on the company websites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage both external and internal websites, which will involve writing and editing content, managing the creation, curation and posting of content on the websites and across other digital channels.
- Serve as primary liaison between multiple internal groups to ensure clarity of goals and adherence to deadlines.
- Utilise customer and business insights and analytical data to plan digital content developments.
- Maintain key agency relationships.
- Adhere to and enforce content approval and branding guidelines for web content.
- Plan and implement an editorial calendar for digital content related to the website to enable consistent collaboration with subject matter experts and content contributors.
- Analyze all online reporting with Adobe SiteCatalyst to strategically plan site updates, such as layout, content and creative, in order to drive traffic.

- Work closely with key stakeholders, development, UX and other teams to ensuring a high standard of brand representation and customer experience.
- Liaise with other divisions to develop content strategy for customers based on targeted markets, persona and brand.
- Work with all business unit levels to perform the regular maintenance of the group's website.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, English or related field.
- We are ideally looking for someone with 5 or more years of professional experience in writing and editing across print, electronic and social media formats, with a strong history of working on Web-based communications. Relevant background might include journalism, public relations, corporate communications, or Web content management.
- Understands how site visitors interact with written content online and has worked with search-keyword-writing techniques.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art formats (electronic) and new media for information dissemination.
- Knowledge of web standards, best practices, and usability, with excellent copywriting and copyediting skills.
- Agency management and digital strategy experience strongly preferred.
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, CQ5 and SiteCatalyst, HTML, CSS and Microsoft Office is required. Experience with EpiServer is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating cross-functionally in a matrix environment and having worked in an international environment.
- This position requires significant international travel - up to 25%, as required.
