Software Engineer with passion for modern software development paradigms

• Be a part of a large transformation where the bank is moving to a modern software development model, the Cloud & Enabling Platforms department is in many ways driving this change
• Be engaged on all aspect of the software development, from decision making and design down to delivery and operation
• Work alongside our great engineers on our Microservices development platform in Cloud & Enabling Platforms department
• Engage in working on our CI/CD pipelines, heart of our automation platform, an ecosystem of Jenkins libraries and stages
• Learn and explore through conferences and training courses as well as pair and mob design and coding sessions
• Take pride in your work enabling millions of bank customers in using modern digital banking

What is needed in this role:

• Being a great team player, with an aptitude in learning, exploring and collaborating with your team and wider organization as whole
• Comfortable in Java and the associated ecosystem (Spring Boot, Junit, Gradle, etc.)
• Being Familiar with common development infrastructure and tools like git, Linux, JIRA, etc.
• Being familiar with, or having experience in developing performance test and automation would be an advantage for you
• Having a basic understanding or higher level of experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes in this case) is a plus
• Being familiar with and care about common engineering practices like continuous delivery, automated testing and code review.
• Communicating with ease in written and spoken English
• Relevant university degree or a great reason for not having one…
